What is your favorite part or your job?
I love the moment when patients realize they are feeling better and their bodies healing.  They are feeling less pain, and their bodies are moving and functioning better than they have in years.  The smile that spreads across a person’s face when they feel good is just amazing.  I often have people tell me “why did I wait so long to come see you, I should have done this years ago”.

Do you have any hobbies or activities of interest? What are they?
I like to cook, bake and try out new recipes.  My mom was a semi-professional wedding cake designer as I grew up, so every weekend the house was filled with the smell of baking cakes – it is a very comforting smell to me.  I have my mom’s secret chocolate frosting recipe – thus I can make a phenomenal chocolate cake.  I also cross-stitch and knit when time permits or need to relieve stress.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
I have always wanted to see the ossuaries in Europe: the Sedlec Ossuary near Prague (The Church of Bones), and the underground catacombs in France.

If you could meet anyone, who would it be?
Walt Disney

If you could get anything for free for the rest of your life what would it be?
Annual Passes and an on property villa at Walt Disney World.

If you could change one thing about the world what would it be?
For people to be kinder and more helpful to and more understanding of each other.

What is one of your favorite quotes?
“Always remember, you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think” Christopher Robin to Pooh Bear

What was your favorite food when you were a child?
Cake tops.  When my mom would make a cake, she'd cut off the domed top to have a flat surface to work with.  The tops have all the moisture in it and is truly the best part of the cake.

Best advice anyone has given you?
A former co-worker of mine told me before I left for graduate school that “graduate school isn’t so much about increasing your intelligence, it’s a test of endurance”.  I have since attributed that to life.  Every day is about getting up, dressing up and showing up.

Describe yourself in three words?
Caring, empathetic, reliable

Where did you grow up?
Louisville, KY

What is your favorite movie?
A League of Their Own

Money is not an option where would you go on a 2 week vacation?
I would go to Europe to see the underground tunnels in Scotland, and go to Ireland to see where my great-grandmother was from.  On the way back I would stop off to visit a friend in Brazil and spend a few days in the warm sunshine on the beach of Moro de Sao Paolo.

Money is not an option what restaurant would you go to with your friends and family?
My favorite steakhouse is the Yachtsman’s Steakhouse in the Yacht Club Resort at Walt Disney World.  It has great food and I love to go then when I’m celebrating something special while at Disney.
