What is the inspiration behind the business? Or what is your personal inspiration?
Working in the senior care field, I saw so many families that did not have a great sense of what was best for their loved one. Loved ones would often put them in situations that did not provide enough care, or provide too much. I love to help people and I felt this was a great opportunity for me to build something from the ground up!
What are the three most important things about your business?
What is the favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is helping people in need. It makes me so happy when my clients are thriving in their new communities.
Describe yourself in three words.
Extrovert, Empathetic, Positive
What is your key to success?
Treating all our clients with the upmost respect and dignity. Clients call me when there is an emergency. This is an extremely emotional time for a family. We want our clients and families to know that we are a resource to help them through this challenge.
What is one of your favorite client stories?
COVID-19 has made life much more complicated for so many people. Recently, I was working with a client who was being discharged from the hospital still testing positive for COVID-19. This last hospitalization showed the family their loved one needed additional support, and they did not know where to start. We were able to get her into a skilled facility that accepted COVID-19 positive patients and find an assisted living community that fit her care and financial needs. As the client was discharging, the son and his wife developed COVID-19 themselves. They were unable to move mom into the facility. I was able to use my connections with a local moving company to move the client out of her old apartment and into the assisted living. The company was able to set her room up just the way she liked before she arrived. The family could not have been happier with the care that mom was getting and the peace of mind that the move provided them.
What is your favorite thing about owning a business in Montgomery?
I have found that there is a closeness between the business owners in Montgomery. There is a general sense of helping one another succeed. Our company and my family make the conscious effort to support our local businesses.
What is your favorite place to eat in Montgomery?
Bones Burgers. I love the food and it is a great place to take my kids.
What is your favorite Cincinnati Area Craft Brewer?
There are so many to choose from! I will give two. I know this might be a stretch, but I love Jackie O’s. I went to Ohio University and I remember when they were just a small brewery on campus. Now, they are huge! My favorite local is 50 West. I have not made it to Montgomery Public House yet, so they may change my mind!
What is your favorite Cincinnati area sports team?
I love all the teams in town. Our family has a special affinity for FC Cincinnati.
Do you have any hobbies or activities of interest? What are they?
I really enjoy being active. I love working out, playing various team sports, and hiking.
