Get to know the the owner, Steve Kapuscinski.

Do you or your business donate to any charities? Which ones? Why? Many small donations but the two primary organizations we support are LADD and Cincinnati Works.  LADD is doing wonderful things for assisting adults with developmental disabilities live independent lives, and their ownership of the ReelAbilities Film Festivals is bringing the creative work of people with all kinds of disabilities to the public, and in doing so, really demonstrating how we all have the same hopes and dreams.  Cincinnati Works is unique in their approach to chronic poverty in several ways:  first, they understand that in order to help children out of poverty, they have to first help the parents out of chronic poverty, and second:  they focus on instilling a paradigm and set of activities that are inherent to long term employ-ability, and are constantly reviewing their metrics for relevancy.  Read the book, “Why Don’t They Just Get a Job?”

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?  My dream vacation is for my wife and I to fly to England, work our way through France, and meet our three children in Rome, after which we spend at least another week or two seeing Italy.

If you could meet anyone, who would it be? I would love to meet Frederic Chopin, and hear him play his own music.  I am mesmerized when I listen to the four Ballades, and would love to talk with him about his emotions expressed when he wrote the music.

If you could be talented at anything instantly what would you choose?  I would like to be as good a guitar player as Jeff “Skunk” Baxter.

What is one of your favorite quotes?  “Act as if it were impossible to fail”  It’s an old Ashanti saying

What was your favorite food when you were a child?  My Mom made the BEST tuna noodle casserole!

Name one short term goal?  I really want to get my in-laws’ 1962 18 foot Chris-Craft Sea Skiff in the water of Chautauqua Lake this summer, for the first time in 20 years.  It’s a wood boat, and it’s difficult to get to Jamestown New York on weekends to make much progress…

Describe yourself in three words?  Urbane, sophisticated, chivalrous

What is your favorite movie?  I love “Moonstruck” because of the over-the –top characterization of the Italian family, but it somehow reminds me warmly of my in-laws

Money is not an option what type of car would you buy and drive?  The latest Acura NSX.  I guess it’s the practical side of me coming out.

Money is not an option what restaurant would you go to with your friends and family?  Always Carlo and Johnnies, because the food and service are impeccable, but also the dancing after dinner!!!

What is your favorite hangout spot in Cincinnati?  When we lived in Montgomery we hung out at DeSha’s for the cover bands to dance to, but now we’re in Hyde Park, so we’ll have to find a new spot.  Any ideas where to consistently find a dancing place around Hyde Park?
