Men in Kilts

Kilts have been turning heads around town since Men In Kilts Cincinnati scheduled its first job in May of 2016 and Cincinnati continues to welcome this exciting, new brand.

The Men in Kilts brand is fun, family friendly, and just a little bit cheeky (especially on a windy day!). When people hear of their "No Peeking!" policy, it means they've usually accomplished their mission - which is "to bring smiles to the world, one kilt at a time!" While their kilts do all the heavy lifting when it comes to getting noticed, the professional service and reputation keeps their customers coming back.

Men in Kilts Cincinnati offers four core services to both residential and commercial customers: window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and siding/exterior building cleaning. All work is fully insured and backed by the company's "Clean Guarantee."

What is your favorite part of your job?

Since owning the business, I have met so many interesting people, heard wonderful stories and have obtained a lot of great advice.  I’ve not only obtained business growth, but a lot of personal growth too.  Our brand makes people smile, and so they naturally want to talk to us!  It’s a blast wearing a kilt!

What is your key to success?

Putting my customers and employees first and being honest and genuine. My employees are like family, and they know I have their best interests in mind.  We all know how important it is to show our customers we truly care.  That’s what keeps people coming back.  Our number one source of customers are referrals, and that says it all!

Best advice anyone has given you?

I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 8.  I used to complain about waking early to do physical therapy before school. My mom never let me get away with complaining.  Rather than baby me, she said to always remind myself it could be so much worse, and to just keep going. As a result, I outgrew it, never needed surgery and made it through without any joint damage.  It really taught me to look at something with a different perspective, and to push through, which helped me develop tenacity and resilience.  I apply that thinking every single day.

Describe Yourself in Three Words.

(I don’t like describing myself, so my Office Manager did it for me!) Energetic, Outgoing, and Kindhearted.

Favorite Cincinnati Brewery or Cincinnati Hangout?

I don’t like to limit myself to just ONE favorite of anything…variety is the spice of life!  Our city has been bursting with new places in the last few years.  My favorite thing to do is to try a new place as often as possible…and I try to stay away from chains.  I’d rather give a local establishment the business!  I do have to say, the view from The Phelps Bar at the top of the Residence Inn is breathtaking, though.  Our city is gorgeous!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Kettering, Ohio.

Do you have any pets?

Three dogs: Leonard (Labradane), Ava (Chow Mix) and Bella (Maltese)

What is your favorite movie?

I recently saw 'Wonder' and it was very touching, but 'Forrest Gump' never gets old!

What is a show on TV you can't miss?

'This is Us' and 'Ozark'.

If you could be talented at anything instantly, what would you chose?

Singing like Carrie Underwood.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

Do I have to pick one?  I’d travel every inch of the world if I could!  Experiencing different cultures is amazing!  I am always fast friends with foreigners!
