What is your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of Soup(er) is feeding people… I show my love through food.  It’s a family tradition, passed down from my Grandmother. We show our love through feeding people and getting to do this each week with my community fills my heart and provides me much happiness!! I love knowing that families are sitting down together to share a delicious, healthy meal.

What is the inspiration behind the business? Or what is your personal inspiration?

My sister-in-law suggested the business idea to me.  She knows I love to cook and knew someone who ran a similar business, she figured it would be a great way for me to get back into working after being a stay -at-home mom for years.  And, she was right, people love eating a home cooked, healthy meal that they do not have to cook themselves.  All families struggle to balance their busy schedules, my goal is to help make one night’s dinner easier on them.  My customers get to sit down and talk as a family over a yummy meal without having to focus on the preparation of dinner.  Rather, they get to focus on the beautiful conversations happening in their kitchen.

If you could explain your business in the simplest way, how would you?

Soup(er) Delivery delivers delicious, homemade soup and bread to your home on Monday afternoons.

What is your own personal favorite soup?

Chicken Noodle Soup with Matzoh Balls has always been my favorite soup to eat and serve to others.  There’s nothing like the comfort of homemade chicken noodle soup filled with delicate matzo balls.  Just the smell alone reminds me of my childhood.

What is your own personal favorite cooking show?

Like everyone, I enjoy watching shows with Rachel, Giada or Ina. But new favorite show is Girl Meets Farm with Molly Yeh.  She is naturally adorable and so fun to watch, but her recipes are also big hits in my home.  Plus, she loves to use rainbow sprinkles…what’s not to love about that?!?!?

What is your favorite part about owning a business in Montgomery?

Running Soup(er) out of Montgomery just makes sense, I am feeding the community I live in.  I’m constantly meeting new customers and finding we have a ton of mutual connections.  It makes the business very personal to me. An additional bonus of working in Montgomery is that is centrally located for my customers, as my customer base stretches from the Symmes/Blue Ash area to Terrace Park/Mariemont.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

“People who love to eat are always the best people.” - Julia Child

Do you have any hobbies or activities of interest? What are they?

The first one is not a surprise, I love to cook, bake…basically anything in the kitchen.  I enjoy reading cookbooks like a novel, I flip page by page reading each recipe through…my family thinks I’m crazy.  I also love to read regular novels, run, ski, garden, hike…. when I’m not in my kitchen, I love to be outdoors.

What is your favorite place to eat in Montgomery?

I just love eating at Forno, the food is fabulous, staff is great, and the atmosphere feels cozy and fun.

What is your favorite Cincinnati Craft Brewer?

Funny you should ask this question, my husband with three other partners is opening a Brewery called Montgomery Public House on Remington Road in the Heritage District in 2020.  I’ve been an avid beer taster for them for years and can’t wait for you to taste them as well
